The Next Steps

In early 2025 a few very active new owners started pushing for a more active group and to become an accredited club. Determined to do better by the breed we love, and by the passion of the newer members we started the process to become an official non-profit entity and apply for recognized club status. Our first official meeting was held virtually on August 3, 2025 and our first Board was elected. We held a second meeting on August 23rd to review and approve by-laws and membership applications. We also began the process of incorporation and applying for non-profit status.

By the end of September 2025, we were incorporated, accepted as a non-profit by the IRS, and had over 20 household members. Our Bylaws were voted in unanimously on September 5, 2025. We also continued to be active in the show and sport rings. This club has welcomed the families of working dogs, show dogs, and all of the current USA breeders.
